Curriculum

 

The curriculum is currently under development.

 

The course will initially be taught at the University of Missouri, first online in Summer 2010 and then face-to-face in Fall 2010. It will be cross-listed between the Department of Human Development and Family Studies and the School of Social Work.

 

Project components:
 

  • 16-week graduate-level face-to-face course.
  • 16-week graduate-level online/independent study course.
  • Two 8-week continuing education online/interactive courses for current child welfare workers.
  • Two-day intensive research and skills-based curriculum for current child welfare workers that covers all 16 topics.
  • One-day workshop with content similar to the 2-day, but with more focus on relationship skills and targeting other community practitioners who work with low resource families.
