A Matter of Balance is an award winning program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase the activity levels of older adults who have concerns about falls. This program utilizes volunteer coaches to teach the eight two-hour sessions.
Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is a 10 week strength training program for older adults. Participants will increase their physical activity and may improve strength, balance and flexibility, resulting in reduced risk for falls, better overall health and greater independence. Each Stay Strong, Stay Healthy session will include a warm-up, simple strengthening exercises with or without weights and cool-down stretches.
