Cranberry Sauce

The Thanksgiving table would not be complete without the cranberry sauce. No need to open a can when it is so simple and delicious to make at home!
Yield
16 servings (serving size: 3 tablespoons)
Ingredients
- 1½ cups chopped peeled Granny Smith apple (about ½ pound)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup white grape juice
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 (12-ounce) package fresh cranberries
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer until thick (about 15 minutes), stirring occasionally. Cool completely.
