Quick Answers
How can I freeze extra breast milk?
To freeze, use sterilized covered bottles. Milk held in
a freezer at 0 degrees F should be used in 2-4 weeks.
Milk held in the freezer compartment of a refrigerator
should be used within one week. Do not store breast milk
in the freezer door as this area is too warm. Always
place breast milk in the back of the freezer. Thaw milk
in the refrigerator and shake before using as the fat
separates out. Heat as you would regular formula. Use
breast milk within 24 hours of thawing.
