Quick Answers
What are the proper temperatures for my refrigerator and freezer?
A refrigerator should maintain temperatures at or below 40 degrees F. The freezer temperature should be 0 degrees F or lower. Use caution when placing hot foods in the refrigerator or freezer. Warm foods may raise the temperature inside the unit.
For more information about food safety and proper refrigerator temperature, see Keep your refrigerator at the right temperature for food safety.
