I'm having problems baking bread. Why is it heavy and compact?
If your homemade bread is heavy and compact, it may be
due to one of the following reasons:
- too much flour added;
- dough not allowed to rise long enough; or
- certain flours create heavier products than all white flour (rye, whole wheat).
